Mondo Generator pulling out?

taken from efest board

Bearded nutcase and former Queens Of The Stone Age bassplayer Nick Oliveri seems to have finally lost it. Following his dismissal from Queens for being seemingly too intoxicated even for Josh Homme, he’s been concentrating on his other band Mondo Generator, but even they seem to have had enough…

Oliveri's Mondo band mates, Dave Catching, Molly Mcguire, and Alfredo Hernandez seem to have had enough following an incident that left Oliveri on a roadside in the middle of the German countryside.

The problems seem to have begun when Oliveri took a disliking to what he thought was a bad sound and jumped off the stage, fought through the audience to take up his grievance with a soundman. Unfortunately letting his fists do the talking, he was finally pulled away, but not before he managed to break the nose and teeth of the engineer.

“I’m sorry to have to cancel the accoustic (sic) show in Cervia…” he explains on his website. “I have never in 16 years of playing shows and touring canceled (sic). I am extremely angry about this and will make it up to you. The truth is I was asked to leave the bus we have been touring on, and was left on the side of the road in Germany somewhere

They have meant to have split up after this so reading and leeds looks doubtful

Nick doesnt seem to think they have split up... after that quote from the band website nick writes

"Well, 24 hours later the rain has stopped and I am dry and alive in Zurich.(Awaiting the next show) I will see you in Italy at the Rock Palast Festival with my band Mondo Generator.

Ciao,
Nick Oliveri"
