I was guessing that, but do they have a limited amount on the door? Since i have work on wednesday so wont be down there until 8-9ish.

Just get them at the door. There are no limits. You just will have to queue for a bit.

Yep.
For the last 3 years, I've turned up at about 3pm on the wednesday, queued until about 5 (which doesn't really matter because you're in with all the atmosphere and stuff), and got one no problem.
Put it this way - Mean Fiddler are there to make as much money as possible. If 5000 people turn up a day early, wanting to get in early, then they're obviously going to let them all. £10 per person at the gate, thats £50,000.
Those people are going to go in the next day anyway, so why would Mean Fiddler not let them get in there and then at a cost?

me and 3 others are going down at about 3am, best time we can get there.
do they close wherever you get the passes from over night? or will they sell them to whoever, whenever they get there?

I got there about 1am on thursday morning in 2005 and they still let you in and sell tickets for £10.
